IPRC WEST: Selection of worthwhile team players should start with the youngest students

Confirmed this Tuesday 22nd July, 2014 during inter-Promotion competitions organized between S5 and S4 students in Basket Ball and Football, and students of S4 and S 6 in Volley Ball.



As confirms HABIMANA J.Nepomusene in charge of Sports and games at IPRC West, it was in the framework of identifying bright players who could represent the school in various competitions organized within our country, promoting entertainment as well as creating the spirit of sports practice among students.
This came as the Basketball team of IPRC West was the best in western Province and after scoring the Basket Ball team of College Adventiste de Gitwe with 37-30 points and loose the one with Petit Seminaire Ndera (17-57) points which made it fail the National competition of inter schools.

“These games will really help us ascertain the most talented players and intensify practices not to lose any of the forthcoming competitions,” He said. He added that starting with the youngest will help qualifying themselves and choose each one the appropriate sports to practice as they maintain such sport spirit.

Students appreciated this initiative and said they will keep it up as they want to be the best.
“Apart from practicing it as relaxation, it will also make us champions because who will not practice regularly will end up not playing in any of competitions,” Said one students in S5 MVM.
Concerning the results from these matches, S5 Basket Ball team gained the match with (50-27) points; S5Volley Ball team scored with 2 sets to 1 of S6; whereas in football the match ended (0-0) after S5 won the match entering 4 penalty kicks out of 6 while S4 entered 3 out of 6.
