America gives Egypt free armored vehicles. Egypt gives America a slap in the face.

This month, the United States delivered the first batch of 762 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles to Egypt free of charge. That’s on top of the $1.3 billion in military aid the Obama administration has allocated to the regime of Abdel Fatah al-Sissi this year. The White House refuses to condition these gifts on an improvement in Egypt’s horrendous human rights record. So herewith a more modest proposal: Obama should ask Sissi to publicly explain how the MRAPs fit into the “fourth-generation war.”

South Africa's Jacob Zuma 'sorry' over Nkandla scandal


President Jacob Zuma has apologised to South Africans in an effort to end to a long-running scandal over improper state spending at his private home.
"The matter has caused a lot of frustration and confusion, for which I apologise," he said in a TV address.
He said he would abide by a court ruling that he must repay government money spent on upgrading his rural home with a swimming pool and amphitheatre.

Uganda crowns a 19-year-old Akurut Pauline from Teso Region Miss Tourism 2015 at Serena Hotel.



 According to Newvision,Friday evening  was a glitz and glamour affair with a red carpet setup. People turned up in impressive numbers. 

The show kicked off at about 8pm with a band serenading the audience before the emcees of the evening, Roger Mugisha and Flavia Tumusiime officially started what would turn out to be an exciting 6-hour ride.
