A 1.6 billion expansion project underway at IPRC West
ipakiraAfter the discussion with the state minister in charge of TVET, Albert NSengiyumva and the school administration the 21st January, 2014 ;the company which won the project of building two workshops and hospitality center this Monday started construction activities.






This comes as the contractor confirmed having finished these buildings in eight coming months starting from January.The Hospitality Center underway will accomodate 182 trainees in two shifts as each of two workshops will receive about 100 trainees also in two shifts.The School administration expects it to be used by students in Culinary, masonry, front desk and other services in hotels.

Vocational and technical skills are mostly needed as the world face economical crisis and as the country strive for self reliance investing in many activities aimed at eradicating poverty and youth unemployment.

The 1.6 billion projects was supported by the World Bank through the Skills Development Project (SDP) operating under WDA and it is covers Electricity, Plumbing and Carpentry workshops as well as hospitality center.
